Swansea Met
Your Union > Student Elections

Elections
are extremely important to MetSU and the outcome of them can shape the services and provisions we provide you, the student.

Sabbatical Elections

Run every year and decide the three full-time officers that will run the Students' Union for the next year. Who gets elected can decide how much support you get on your course, what financial advice we can provide you, and even whether there will a good or bad Freshers fortnight! YOU, THE STUDENT, ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN DECIDE WHO GETS INTO POWER! So make sure you vote, or if you think the candidates are good enough, then consider running for one of the roles yourself. For more information contact the President.

Council Elections

Council nominations and elections are how we create our Student Council, the group that represents all our student groups and voices the opinion of students in general to the sabbatical team. Here Union Policies are discussed and presented, and with a majority vote, passed and implemented. Very important decisions are made here that have repercussions for the way the Students Union operates and how we represent and service Swansea Met students in the whole. to be part contact the President.
